CREATE stands for "Celebrating Research Excellence and Artistic Talent at Eastern," and is the University's premier undergraduate conference of the academic year.

HCC honors Phi Theta Kappa inductees
Holyoke Community College is proud to announce the newest members of the Alpha Xi Omega Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Thirty-seven HCC students were honored during an induction ceremony on Thursday, March 29. This special event recognizes students who have demonstrated academic achievement according to the Phi Theta Kappa standards. Students are invited to join Phi Theta Kappa when they have completed 15 college credits with a 3.5 GPA or higher.

Eastern Students Serve Community as CCE Student Leaders
A number of civic-minded students from Eastern Connecticut State University are serving the community this spring semester as Student Leaders with Eastern's Center for Community Engagement (CCE). A student leader is an experienced student volunteer who has been hired and trained by the CCE to recruit, train and manage volunteers, serve as a liaison with community partners, and plan and run service programs.

'An Enemy of the People' cast and crew
Holyoke Community College is proud to recognize the students who have been selected to appear on stage in HCC's Spring 2018 theater production, "An Enemy of the People," as well as those working behind the scene's in technical and production positions. The HCC Theater Department will present the play by Henrik Ibsen April 19-21 at 7:30 in the Leslie Phillips Theater in HCC's Fine & Performing Arts Building, with a matinee performance Sat., April 21, at 2 p.m. The play is directed by Tom Geha with stage design by Matthew Whiton.

The talented musicians of Eastern Connecticut State University's Concert Band recently presented a concert in the Concert Hall of the Fine Arts Instructional Center (FAIC). The Eastern Concert Band is a unique blend of musicians comprised of Eastern Connecticut State University students, faculty, alumni, local music educators and talented musicians from the greater eastern Connecticut area. Performance repertoire includes classic band literature as well as challenging works from contemporary composers.
